These two artists first dated on Valentine’s Day and on a subsequent one, HP gave Sandy an interlocking heart stained glass art piece. They realized they were both fond of stained glass and took a class together. They began producing and selling their art in 1997. They felt they were better artists together–collaborating on color, design, and technical skills.
In 2008 they took a pottery course, expecting to incorporate their glass skills into another medium. They fell in love with pottery, and have studied with local potters and national workshops. They do handbuilt and wheel thrown items. They are members of the Triangle Potters Guild and the Potters Council.
HP is a cancer survivor and the proceeds of their arts sales are donated to the American Cancer Society.
